Having just moved back from LA the clients tasked Covet Noir with creating a light & modern space to bring a little bit of California to this beautifully restored Victorian hospital building. The brief was to create a space for the clients to retreat to, a calm and timeless space to call home after years of touring and travelling the world. Having worked in the music industry for over a decade and staying in the best hotels, the clients craved a place to call home.
The beautiful lateral space is punctuated by large sash windows, leading you through to the large open-plan living space. Finished with white oak herringbone floors and soft white walls Covet Noir created a neutral and warm palette accented by curated iconic vintage pieces and one-off antiques. This was the perfect backdrop for introducing more contemporary pieces and carefully selected bespoke elements. The hand-crafted bar stools were commissioned to sit at the kitchen island, expertly upholstered in a rich mustard velvet that adds character to the modern kitchen. As part of the brief Covet Noir curated a complete art collection consisting of a mix of original pieces, lithographs, and prints.
